We also specialize in an assortment of exotic fibers. These natural fibers can be blended with wool to create extremely luxurious batting for high-end products while maintaining a reasonable cost.

Woolaca

Woolaca is our trademarked fiber blend of wool and alpaca.

  • The alpaca is grown in the US.
  • The wool is handpicked from family farms in Australia, Europe, South America, and New Zealand.
  • All growers meet the highest standards of ethical practices.
  • The breeds include Columbia and Dorset.

Why go with Woolaca?

Seize the benefits of both fibers. Get five times better insulation, water resistance, and fiber resiliency in one product. Alpaca also has less scales than wool - resulting in a softer feel.

Silk

A natural protein fiber from the cocoon of a silkworm. Silkworks work in a figure eight pattern to spin their cocoon around themselves. Later, the cocoon is unwound to produce a continuous thread. The resulting thread is usually about a mile long and is incredibly durable.

What does silk have in common with wool?

  • Both natural fibers are known for providing warmth.
  • Both fibers absorb moisture and odor effectively.
  • Like wool, silk’s low conductivity keeps warm air close to the skin during cold weather.
